Planning Your Wedding Reception The first things to consider when planning your wedding reception are room size and dining options. We have two rooms available for wedding receptions: a large ballroom, which can accommodate 150-1200 people, and a banquet hall, for groups of up to 200. If you make use of our catering service and purchase a certain minimum amount in concessions, your room rent is waived! (Restrictions apply.) More information on room rents is available here. All dinner menus are served with fresh dinner rolls and coffee. Linen tablecloths, china, and glassware are included at no extra charge.
We offer three standard buffet choices, which vary in the variety they allow you to offer your guests. Using the above menu options, choose one of the three plans outlined below:
The Details Not sure how many to expect? Most people can follow the 70% guideline: for every 10 people you've invited to your wedding, plan for 7 to be there at your reception. We ask that you give us a count one week prior to the event. We will prepare the number of dinners you request plus 5%, to ensure that there will be plenty for everyone. You will be charged for the number of dinners served or 95% of what you order, whichever is greater. All food orders are subject to a 15% service charge. This includes gratuity, most set-up charges, use of the building to decorate during regular business hours, and skirting of the cake, punch, gift, and head tables. Food and room rent are subject to 6.5% MN state sales tax and 0.5% local sales tax. If you wish to take home any excess, non-perishable food, you must provide containers for this food. If you take any food home, you will be charged 100% of what you order. There is a $75 fee to serve food later in the evening.
The Decorations
The Cake Please provide plates and someone to cut your wedding cake. If we provide this service, there will be a $50 charge. Beverage and Liquor Service
Special drink orders must be placed at least three working days prior to the event. Special punch recipes can be prepared for an additional charge. As required by our liquor license, there is a $15 per bottle corking charge if you bring your own champagne. Drink tickets may be purchased anytime. The total liquor bill must be paid the evening of the event. Please pay by cash or check. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards at this time. All liquor prices are subject to 15% service charge and 10.875% sales tax. There is a $100 per hour charge if you wish the bar to remain closed at any time during the evening. All prices subject to review 30 days prior to the event.
